Resources for research
The UT Libraries and OhioLINK provide links for both on- and off-campus access to scholarly databases useful for graduate research. Of particular interest to literature students are the MLA Bibliography and the Oxford English Dictionary (see OhioLINK for off-campus URLs).
A number of excellent rare books libraries are within striking distance of Toledo, and are excellent resources for primary-text research in English. These include:

After the MA program
- The department offers a Certificate in the Teaching of Writing, a program that includes advice on finding employment as a composition instructor
