.UT Professor Emeritus of English Samir Abu-Absi was born in Lebanon and came to the States for graduate school.  After receiving master’s and doctoral degrees in Indiana, he joined the UT faculty and moved to Toledo, where he has lived for more than 40 years.  His new 320-page book, Arab Americans in Toledo (The University of Toledo Press) book is divided into three sections: heritage, profiles and interviews.  Arab Americans in Toledo, $25, is available in the UT Bookstore and at Borders.  For more on Prof. Abu-Absi’s new book, see the complete UT News story by Vicki L.
