Rane Arroyo

Department of English Professor Rane Arroyo’s newest book is The Buried Sea: New & Selected Poems. Learn more and read an excerpt from it at The University of Arizona Press website.

Prof. Arroyo got the recent news that The Buried Sea has been nominated for a ForeWord Magazine poetry book of the Year prize, and he’s competing with… himself: The Roswell Poems are also nominated!  This is the first time two books by the same poet have been nominated.  The Roswell Poems are also nominated the Ohionana Prize for Poetry Book of the Year (given by Ohio’s Libraries).  As if he weren’t dodging enough laurels, the Lambda Prize has also contacted Prof. Arroyo to let him know that he’s in the pool for a possible nomination.
