The Visiting Scholar Committee (Bill Free — Chair, Doug Coleman, Russ Reising, and Skai Stelzer) had lunch last Friday with the Department’s two current Visiting Scholars, both from China. Minxa Wu (left), an associate professor, is an English teacher in the Foreign Languages Department of Henan Polytechnic University. She got her BA in the PLA Foreign Languages Institute in 2000 and MA in Henan University in 2007, majoring in English. Ruiqin Chai (right) has been working as a teacher of English in North University of China since 2000. In 2000 she got a BA degree from Taiyuan University of Technology, majoring in English Education, and in 2008 got an MA degree from Taiyuan University of Technology, majoring in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. In November 2010 she was employed as an associate professor of English at North University of China.
