From the Editors of The Mill: The Spring 2012 Launch reading on April 19th was a huge success for the staff and contributors of The Mill. We had more readers and guests than ever before. The winner for Best Poetry contribution was Sam Fetters and for Best Fiction contribution, Russell Axon. They both won a $25 gift card to Ukazoo Books, a used book store that recently opened in Toledo. Tim Salow’s photography was chosen for the issue’s cover art. One participant, a history major, commented that the reading was especially enjoyable because the presentations were so casual and comfortable. The staff is very happy to know that the magazine is developing a presence in other departments on campus. Overall this reading was great fun to attend, and the staff hopes everyone will keep a lookout for the Fall launch reading for the Fall 2012 issue of The Mill.
